 Mapa Scotland

If you are visiting Edinburgh or just passing through, this is a worthwhile detour. It’s on the road between Edinburgh and Peebles.

The Great Polish Map of Scotland is a large three-dimensional, outdoor concrete scale model of Scotland,locatedinthe grounds of the Barony Castle Hotel, outside the village of Eddleston near Peebles in the Scottish Borders. It is also known as the Mapa Scotland or the Barony Map. Wikipedia

St Boswells Book Shop, Cafe and Deli

If you are travelling north on the Jedburgh road, a good place to stop is The Mainstreet Trading Company in St Boswells. The bookshop contains over 7000 titles catering for all tastes including a very good children's section. There is a wellstockeddeliand  acoffeeshop serving soups, sandwiches, light meals and home baking. There is also a homewear section focussing on independent artisan suppliers from the UK & abroad. The Mainstreet Trading Company won Deli of theYear 2014and wonthe IndependentBookshop of theYear 2012.
Well worth a visit.
